@elvez1231 Not at all. His full name was Enrico Caruso. He was the greatest male Opera singer of the 20th Century(at least according to many highly esteemed Musicologists & Me..lol). Hey! That reminds me to add Maria Callas to that list(she was an incredible female Opera singer). Think I’ll also add these to that ICON list…Sports-Jim Thorpe, Wilt Chamberlin & Jim Brown. Music-Judy Garland & Edith Piaf. Keep in mind, I’m limiting this list to the 20th Century.

I’m well aware of the fact that what is “GOOD” and/or “GREAT” is a matter of opinion and subjective…That’s why I asked “YOU” for “YOUR” SUBJECTIVE Opinion on Dionne’s “GOOD” and/or “GREAT” Songs she’s put out since 1985. Jeez! Some people are just Thick as a Brick.
No doubt – Dionne Warwick sang some great songs. But frankly – I believe we use the term “legend” way to often. Personally – I think she’s more of a pain in the ass than a legend. It’s almost like she thought the show would be some sort of glorified “meet & greet” .

@JohnAndRowForever I mean exactly that, she has survived 50yrs of backstabbing, lawsuits, scandal, criticisms, broken promises, record company bs and the like. There’s more to the music biz than making an album and having a “hit”. Nevertheless she continues to record (yes even beyond 1985) and perform live (you can find vids right here on YT). My only point is she had to be tough. But she’s not a mean person. There’s a difference, though you may not see it in the editing of a a tv show.
